On my last day in Paris, I visited the Eiffel Tower with a same-day ticket.
By arriving just before 9:00 AM, I only waited about 20 minutes to reach the second floor. *This information is from a visit in June 2025.
Even if advance reservations are sold out, you can still enjoy a calm, smooth visit.
Here’s how.
Visiting the Eiffel Tower in the Morning

For many travelers, visiting the Eiffel Tower is a meaningful highlight of the trip.
However, tickets are released only 14 days in advance, and they often sell out quickly.
This happened to us as well — we couldn’t book in advance.
But don’t worry.
Even without a reservation, you can still enter with same-day tickets.
When we visited in June, we had breakfast at the hotel a little early and arrived at the Eiffel Tower just before 9:00 AM.
After passing the security check, we waited about 20 minutes at the ticket counter and were able to buy a same-day ticket and take the elevator to the second floor.
It was actually our departure day, but thanks to advice from a local resident (Just go before 9:00, and you’ll be fine), everything went smoothly.
Where We Stayed
The hotel I stayed at was the Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel.
Novotel Paris Centre Tour Eiffel.
It was about a 15-minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, which made our final morning very pleasant.
How to Buy Same-Day Tickets

1. Security Check
2. Ticket Counter
3. Payment
4. Elevator Entrance
Credit card payment is recommended, but when we visited (June 2025, around 9:00 AM), both cash and card were accepted.
We purchased tickets for the elevator to the second floor.
Of course, it’s ideal if you can reserve in advance — so keep checking the booking system.
We were already using GetYourGuide for other attractions (Arc de Triomphe, Musée d’Orsay), so we continued checking for Eiffel Tower openings there as well.

The View from the Second Floor

From the second floor, you can enjoy a full 360-degree view of Paris.
The observation paths can be narrow, so I recommend leaving large bags at your hotel.
The stairs and floor surfaces of both the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe include metal plates, which can get slippery in the morning or after rain.

I wore black non-slip Skechers, and they provided excellent grip and stability.
They helped me move comfortably and safely — especially on the last day, when you want to enjoy your stroll without stress.
Conclusion
“Because it’s the last day, take it slow.”
A calm, gentle morning at the Eiffel Tower made my final impression of Paris warm and memorable.
Visiting early reduced stress about luggage collection and airport transfers later.
If this article helps you plan a peaceful final day in Paris, I’m happy.
Wishing you a wonderful and gentle journey.
Merci, Paris. I’ll come back.
